Key responsibilities for this role include:
Lead the strategic development and execution of scientific content initiatives, ensuring that they align with business objectives and deliver value to customers.
Take ownership of the scientific content planning & development process across multiple therapeutic areas, with a strong focus on customer access, touch points, and overall business growth.Identify and prioritize content opportunities that will drive brand engagement, support evidence-based decision-making, and enhance the overall customer experience.
Develop and execute the publication and content strategy, aligning with the overarching brand plan for specific therapeutic areas and target groups.
Lead the creation of content roadmaps that support both short-term and long-term business goals, ensuring content initiatives contribute to measurable business outcomes.
Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure content strategies are aligned with broader organizational objectives, helping to shape long-term success for the brand.
Lead the creation of high-level, medically accurate content that is strategically aligned with marketing goals in an omnichannel environment.
Ensure content is tailored to specific customer segments, transforming complex scientific data into clear, engaging digital and print content.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, medical affairs, etc.) to ensure content aligns with the brand’s positioning and is delivered in a way that resonates with target audiences.
Engage with healthcare professionals to gain market insights to ensure content is impactful and relevant.
Align with and brief of service providers on multiple sorts of content.
Oversee the development of the KOL engagement strategy and ensure integration into the content development process. Work with medical departments to set up Editorial Boards and leverage these relationships to enhance content quality and relevance.
Take a leadership role in the proactive development and management of scientific projects, including patient support programs, educational initiatives, and other key content-driven programs.
Lead the content planning and coordination process, overseeing content-related activities and customer journeys to ensure alignment with the brand strategy and business goals.
Direct the execution of educational programs in collaboration with other departments, ensuring that training initiatives align with strategic objectives and enhance the capabilities of internal teams.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Master’s degree in medical sciences or equivalent education
Additional qualifications in Communication/Editorial or Marketing are highly desirable
Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical, MSL or strategic account management role, with a demonstrated track record of success in content creation and publication planning across therapeutic areas.
Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional projects and driving business outcomes through effective scientific communication.
Strong leadership skills with a strategic mindset to develop and execute content initiatives that align with business goals.
Expert-level ability to analyze and translate complex scientific data into compelling, clear, and customer-focused content.
Exceptional project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive results within cross-functional teams.
High-level business acumen and strategic thinking with the ability to understand market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
Excellent communication, editorial, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Able to function in a matrix environment, within a global organization, and to work closely within cross-functional team
Proficiency in MS Office and other content creation tools; familiarity with digital content platforms and technologies is a plus.
Dutch proficiency required for this role: Fluent
English proficiency required for this role: Advanced
