Role Overview
As an Endpoint Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting endpoint devices, including hardware, software, and network components, ensuring they operate smoothly and securely. You will install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade core systems while providing end-user training and support.
This role requires collaboration with application and infrastructure teams to analyze and resolve system failures. You will be part of a global IT team, working with colleagues across different countries.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-User Support & Troubleshooting
Respond to incoming ticketing system requests for hardware, software, and networking issues.
Perform on-site and remote diagnosis, analysis, and resolution of complex technical problems.
Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot: End-user workstations (Windows/macOS), Networked peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.), and Corporate mobile devices (iOS & Android).
Provide technical documentation and "how-to" guides for end users.
Work with end users to define and meet PC service level agreements (SLAs).
2. Hardware & Software Management
Recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repairs when needed, adhering to infrastructure processes, procedures, and methodologies.
Conduct hardware lifecycle analysis, ensuring timely device refresh and inventory management.
Manage software deployment, patching, and updates across endpoints.
Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise software tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Jamf.
3. Mobile Device & macOS Management
Deploy and manage corporate mobile devices (iOS & Android) using MDM solutions such as: Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro and Samsung Knox.
Configure and support MacBook devices in enterprise environments, ensuring compliance with company IT policies.
Set up and maintain Apple Business Manager (ABM) for macOS and iOS device management.
4. Security & Compliance
Ensure endpoint security compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Implement endpoint security tools, including: Antivirus & anti-malware solutions, Device encryption (BitLocker, FileVault), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions (e.g., Duo, Microsoft Authenticator), DLP Solutions.
Apply patch management and security updates to protect against vulnerabilities.
Enforce Mobile Application Management (MAM) policies for secure corporate app access.
5. Collaboration & Training
Provide technical training and guidance to end users and staff.
Liaise with vendors for hardware/software troubleshooting and warranty management.
Work closely with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to improve endpoint security.
Your Profile
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an endpoint support/engineering role.
Hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as: Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, VPN, SCCM, Intune, Entra/Azure AD, Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager, Duo, Samsung Knox.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytic skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a global team.
Team player with a go-to attitude, honest, engaging, and highly adaptable.
Customer service-oriented with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills—both verbal and written.
Proficiency in Swedish and English (required).
Experience with automation and scripting for device management:
Windows: PowerShell, SCCM task sequences, Group Policy scripting
macOS/Linux: Python, Bash, AppleScript, Jamf automation
Cloud: Microsoft Graph API, Ansible, Puppet, Chef
