Reporting to the Sales & Business Development Director, we are looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager to join the team in South Africa. You will be responsible for creating new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing customer relationships and delivering customer solutions in the MEA region.
As a Sales & Business Development Manager your key responsibilities will include:
strategic partner prospects and where applicable support the establishment of these relationships
new potential clients through making connections, building relationships and establishing networks
appropriate products/services to potential clients that meet their needs
plans to create new business opportunities in the market and winning new customers
key deal preparation, presentation and leadership to attain a successful close
customer and market insight to support the development of the wider go-to-market strategy
translate market feedback and collated data and information to provide guidance for our product strategies
insight, support and collaboration across the EMEA team to maximise sales opportunities.
travel to customers in region as needed

As a Sales & Business Development Manager you have the following:
Skills
strong sales and refined negotiation skills with the ability to initiate relationships, assess partnership viability, work through deal cycles and close complex deals
strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to speak effectively to any audience
ability to deliver engaging presentations
a natural self-starter who can work effectively on their own or as part of a wider team
a proven hunter with a track record of breaking in to and scaling new accounts
a team player with strong persuasion skills able to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
Sensitivity across cultures and maturity to deal with customers from varied cultural backgrounds
fluency in French (spoken and written) – essential for engaging with clients across Francophone Africa and other French-speaking markets within MEA.
ability to communicate complex value propositions clearly to MNOs, fintech partners, and OEMs
Experience
preferred experience in Security products and / or telecom devices/ services
demonstrable Business Development experience at a Technology company
experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques
proven experience working with mobile network operators (MNOs), mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), or telecom regulators.
experience in or with financial service providers, particularly in digital lending, microfinance, or mobile money.
track record of promoting or selling technology solutions in the consumer financing space, preferably in emerging markets.
Knowledge
Must have a strong understanding of mobile device ecosystem, service providers, and mobile app protection
Must have a strong understanding of security solutions
Qualifications
Degree, MBA or relevant experience
Additional Information
Location: You must be based in a Francophone country in Africa, ideally in Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, or DRC, to effectively support French-speaking markets and regional partners
This role requires approximately 30% regional travel across the MEA region for customer meetings, partner engagements, and ecosystem development
