KONE South Africa is seeking a dedicated Delivery Operations Manager (DOM) based in Johannesburg to lead our delivery operations in South Africa with safety as the highest priority. The DOM is accountable for the safe, reliable, high-quality, and profitable execution of delivery projects within their portfolio, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with KONE’s business objectives.
The DOM drives portfolio performance by proactively managing progress against schedules, planning accuracy, profitability, productivity, safety, and quality, utilizing KPIs, data, and setting clear targets and actions for the Delivery Operations team. They ensure adherence to KONE’s installation methods, tools, KONE Way, and Frontline operations management practices.
The DOM champions continuous improvement and waste elimination by identifying opportunities, standardizing processes, and applying Lean principles. They lead and coach the regional Delivery Operations team, fostering competence and optimizing resource allocation to deliver exceptional results in the South African market.

What will you do:
Proactively drives outstanding performance in safety and quality across Delivery Operations.
Fosters a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
Establishes and promotes a service-minded culture and outside-in thinking within Delivery Operations.
Manages customer disputes and escalations and tracks Net Promoter Index (NPI) and transactional survey feedback.
Leads, evaluates, and develops the operations team to achieve safety, quality, profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals, addressing competence development needs.
Sets individual targets and actions with team members using data and KPIs to meet objectives, identify waste, and drive continuous improvement.
Drives efficient, safe, high-quality installation operations in compliance with regulatory and KONE methods and requirements.
Oversees installation capacity planning.
Ensures KONE delivers value through seamless, reliable project delivery and proactive communication.
Promotes proactive, profitable, and efficient project management practices aligned with KONE methods.
Maintains accuracy in schedule (s-plan), revenue, and cost planning per Frontline policy.
Organizes effective huddles with Field Supervisors to ensure project execution aligns with standard ways of working and removes roadblocks.
Conducts regular portfolio and operational reviews to manage project and installation performance.
Accountable for the financial and customer performance of projects, ensuring accuracy of the order book and forecasts.
Actively monitors and reports project and installation performance, addressing deviations.
Ensures effective deployment and benefit realization of KONE Way and local initiatives.
Are you the one?
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in a project management environment.
Minimum of 8 years managing multi-disciplinary projects.
At least 8 years in site management, project management, or operations management within the construction, engineering, building materials, or related industries.
Experience in the elevator and escalator industry is highly desirable.
Preference for candidates with elevator industry experience, though construction industry experience is also considered.
